This group of chemicals includes copper anti-seize and thixotropic temporary lubricant.

They have in common a lubricant function and base oil structure but are formulated to carry out other functions such as sealing, protection against low frequency vibration and easing of both assembly/fitting and dismantling.  They may have unique qualities such as being only temporary in effect, in order to overcome compression on assembly alone whilst enabling the same forces (after the lube has dried) to resume their function of maintaing the integity of the assembly.
